Home (Portal) - Latest announcements, recent topics, and latest posts, as well as how many users are online and who they are.

Forum index - Navigation page to look through the forum. It is organized into sub-categories to aid you in looking for exactly what you're trying to find and helps you to locate where you should post topics.

Search - This feature allows you to search certain words in our forum. It lets you find related posts/topics to keywords and/or find specific posts/topics by using certain words or phrases.

Members - A complete list of members, arranged by the date they joined. You can search members by first letter, or simply search them by clicking on "find a member" and searching their name.

The Team - This page is dedicated the stepmaniaonline.eu staff. These are the people that regularly moderate the forum. If you have any question, complaint, or suggestion that hasn't been answered in the forum these are the people to contact. Private message (PM) these members for any problems you may have with forum/server that can't be resolved through the forum.

DDR Server

Top 25 Players - This page lists the top 25 players on the stepmaniaonline.eu server based on seed. To find the seed and rank of any member (including yourself), click on their/your username and click on overall DDR score, found under User Statistics. What is a seed?

On calculating ranks the server keeps track of your score in means of a seed:

Question: How does the number of rounds I play effect my seed?
Answer: It effects it heavily in the beginning, however as time goes on, it matters less and less and your performance on the steps matter more and more. You can see how in the beginning it contributes heavily (after ten rounds, it helps your seed by over 2000), but later on it hardly effects it at all.

Question: Can my seed go down if I don't play that well?
Answer: YES! In fact, after many rounds, if you play even slightly worse than your average, it can heavily bring down your seed.

Question: When I don't play, my seed goes down, why?
Answer: Because the natural progression for all seeds is normally upwards for players who play consistently and get better and better as they play. People will excel past you when you don't play.

Question: Why are goods/boos/misses/NG all counted the same?
Answer: Because we did not want to heavily penalize for missing notes as every now and then you can be in a streak of bad luck and just miss a lot of notes. If we would penalize heavily for this, a single screw up of forty notes or so would be devastating to a top 20 player's seed.

Question: Why are OK's worth sixteen seed points?
Answer: Because if they were worth say a perfect, getting OKs would actually reduce really good player's seeds.

Top 100 Songs - This page displays the top 100 played songs. It shows the song name and artist, the number of times it was played and it's song ID, for easy reference.

Search Member - This feature lets you search a member by username, email address or any other criteria you choose.

Walkthrough - This is the server walkthrough on how to get connected and play on the stepmania server. This step-by-step walkthrough should be read before posting any questions in the helpdesk as it may answer some of them.

User Menu

View new posts - View the latest posts since you last logged in.

View unread posts - View a list of the latest posts that haven't been looked at.

View your posts - View every post you have made in the forum since the registration of your account.

Bookmarks - View topics you have bookmarked for future reference.

Subscribed - View any topics you have subscribed to, or to unsubscribe from any existing subscriptions.

- This will bring you to your inbox, where you can view recent PM's, or see any PM's that you have sent and whether the recipient has read the PM or not. Will change according to how many new messages you have.

User Control Panel - This is your user control panel, where you can edit your profile, signature, avatar, and account settings. You may also edit your global settings, posting defaults, and display options under board preferences. There is also a friends or foes option, where you can add friends to your list which enables you to quickly check which friends are online and which aren't. Friend lists also enable you to quickly communicate with them, such as adding them to receive a PM easily. Foes are members you can add to ignore. Only their posts will be ignored and won't become fully visible. Personal messages are still permitted. Keep in mind that you can't ignore moderators/administrators.

Logout - This is used to log out of your session. Can also be found above the user menu.

Peak Posters - Provides the top members with the most posts in the forum.

Newest Members - The newest members to stepmaniaonline.eu are listed.

Teamspeak Server - This is a server that can be used to speak with other stepmania players by use of microphone. For more information, click here.

Server Online? - This is a quick and convenient way to see if the stepmania and teamspeak server is up and running. It also displays the last 8 songs played on the stepmania server. If for any reason it says offline, feel free to advise a member of the team. We will try to fix the problem as soon as possible.

Friends - Quickly view which friends are online (forum only) and which aren't, based on users active over the past 15 minutes.

Statistics - Forum statistics are displayed, such as total posts, topics, announcements, stickies, and attachments. Also displays total members to date, as well as the newest member.
